beseen They have 25 rooms with various themes (The Chat Zone) and topics (channels). In theme rooms you will have to get a registered handle to get in.  Private messages in theme rooms or The Chat Zone....none in channels.
coolchat You will have to register first to chat in the rooms that they have but you don't have to use your registered handle when you get in the rooms.
talk city Has rooms with 4 topics:   college, family, entertainment and teen.
 yahoo! chat Lots of topics and rooms per topic...
absolute chat They have 10 rooms and it's real easy log-on, no registered handles.  Private messages, html messages, background color can be changed.
geocities chat There are 66 rooms classified according to 17 general themes from cars to romance to family.  There should be a room for everyone.
lycos chat There are 6 chat categories.  Pick your topic of interest first before you log on.  You need a registered handle before you can chat.
netcentral chat You will need registered handles here.  There are 17 rooms, generally age-specific ones, and private rooms.
chat web Chatrooms are classified to 5 general categorie:  general chat, age-specific, topic chat, geographical area and adult chat.  The rooms per category are listed after you pick the category of your choice.
talk city There are lots and lots of rooms classified into 20 categories.  You can have regisitered handles or if you chose not to have one, it's ok too.
